Best Beach Holidays

I love hitting the beach and the best thing about the beach is of course the mix between the weather, the sand and the surf. I don’t think anyone can argue that heading to the beach is one of the best ways to enjoy the sunshine. I thought I should make this guide about the best beach holidays, so read on to find out more.

Greece

Greece offers some of the nicest beaches in the entire world. I especially love the hot climate and the feeling of being somewhere rather exotic. The beaches of the Greek isles are especially great due to their crystal clear water and relaxed way of life.  Greek food is also amazing and you can enjoy some amazing seafood or a nice gyros right after your swim and the best thing is that it is as fresh as you can imagine.

Croatia

Croatia is another place that is just spoilt for choice when it comes to the best beach destinations. There are so many great beaches that dot this mostly coastal country. I love places like Split and Dubrovnik which have a large amount of coast to cover.

Portugal

Europe is not especially well known for its surf beaches but Portugal’s coast offers some great surf in Europe and some ideal weather to match too. I find that a lot of Europeans are flocking there during the warm summer months and even in the cooler but still relatively warm autumn months. Portuguese food is also a personal favourite of mine, so this only adds to the beach atmosphere.

Canary Islands

The Canary Islands are another great destination for their beaches and are especially popular for Europeans looking for great all year temperatures. The average temperature on most of the islands is just over 20 degrees Celsius, but all year round, so this makes it ideal beach weather. If you have ever seen a picture of the Canary Islands you will also know how the white sand beaches and turquoise water look. This is a great place with many things to explore, you can also climb the highest mountain in Spain here (Mount Teide).
